Alcohol & Drug Addiction
DUI Program Description
Boyd & Associates offers various programs for DUI offenders. We are an agency certified by the state of Kentucky to provide education and treatment programs. A person convicted of DUI first needs to schedule an appointment for an assessment and interview with a counselor to determine which program would best serve the needs of the client while also satisfying the state of Kentucky.
*20 hour program suitable for clients with a low to medium risk level of having future problems with drugs/and or alcohol and a low B.A.C
Alcohol & Other Drugs
This program is designed to provide any participant with an opportunity to objectively explore his/her relationship with alcohol and other drugs. This program is for individuals who have experienced legal, family, or work problems related to drug and/or alcohol use. The purposes of this program are:
- To assist participants who are interested in recovery, abstinence and/or sobriety
- To provide participants with relapse prevention in information
- To provide participants with an opportunity to explore their behavior
- To examine lifestyle choices made thus far
- To determine how their choices have led to negative consequences and
- To consider more effective choices
*The out-patient treatment program is suitable for clients with a medium to high risk level of having future problems with drugs and/or alcohol and a medium to high B.A.C.
After the counselor determines which program the client will be required to complete, the sessions will then be scheduled. We then notify whoever referred the client to our office of their enrollment. If this should be a probation officer or an out of state court, the client will be required to provide an address and contract person, in addition to a case or reference number. That same person will then be notified of the client’s completion or non-compliance.
